Ryan Peterson

President & Managing Partner

Ryan Peterson serves as the President of Wasatch Guaranty Capital, where he oversees the day-to-day business decisions, operations, and overall performance of Wasatch Guaranty Capital. He directs finances for all companies under management; manages all accounting processes; oversees all new deal pipeline through screening and underwriting; manages all company personnel; communicates investment performance and investment issues to investors in all companies under fee management; and oversees all asset positions and strategy through reports, forecasting, and analysis.

Mr. Peterson worked as a framer, a landscaper, a custom jeweler, and started several small businesses before joining Wasatch. He began his work at Wasatch assisting Dell Loy Hansen with foundations and trusts accounting and management. Later, Mr. Peterson was involved in creating Wasatch Premier Hospitality, building several hotel developments, including the Riverwoods Conference Center and SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Logan, Utah in 2009. Afterwards, he was part-owner and the Chief Financial Officer of Wasatch Finance & Credit, LLC, and oversaw all Wasatch’s financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate accounting practices in accordance with GAAP, preparing tax returns, compiling budgets and forecasts, and maintaining ongoing financial analysis for all entities and investments under management. Ryan co-founded Wasatch Guaranty Capital in 2011. He managed Wasatch’s investment and mezzanine debt fund, which totaled upwards of $40 million in assets, and closed an upwards of $300 million in construction and permanent loans for sister companies within the Wasatch Group. His service as lead developer and project originator in many capital, credit, and sponsorship activities has created a stable, compounding cash flow for Wasatch that has provided capital and credit solutions to Wasatch’s partners. He seeks to continue WGC’s role in assisting real estate developers, entrepreneurs, and promising companies to grow. Mr. Peterson graduated from Utah State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
