Affordable Housing

Our affordable housing acquisitions/rehabilitation initiatives allow us to immediately deploy capital into growing marketplaces, by repositioning existing communities through affordable rents and allowing investors to receive the benefits of Low Income Housing Tax Credits made possible by Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Wasatch has developed and constructed five affordable low income housing tax credit properties (three in Utah, two in California), creating 664 units at an investment cost of over $114 million.

We have also acquired and rehabilitated nine affordable low income housing tax credit projects in the state of California and one in Utah, improving 2,119 units at an investment cost of over $277 million.

Wasatch develops and construct new multifamily apartments, providing a care-free home life for families and single-adults. Our communities are often the most sought-after place to live in cities, with many offering amenities that include beautifully landscaped grounds, pools, business centers, outdoor activities, clubhouses, and more.

Our interiors feature upgrades such as granite countertops, premium flooring, lighting and appliances, with some even having direct access to the garage.

Wasatch has developed and constructed sixteen new market rate apartment communities throughout Utah and Colorado, creating 3,135 new units at an investment cost of over $375.4 million.
